Regenerative Futures

Overview

Regenerative Futures is a multi-country initiative to mainstream sustainable agriculture, reducing emissions to achieve targets set by Food and Beverage Companies, development banks, local governments and other relevant actors while increasing farmer incomes and reducing crop vulnerability to extreme weather events.

Regenerative Futures facilitates a funding relationship where farmers receive incentive payments for implementing producer-specific regenerative farming practices and technical assistance from local agronomists throughout the transition to regenerative agriculture. Outcome customers, including Food and Beverage companies, pay for the environmental benefits achieved (ex. reduced GHGs) and can count any benefits purchased against their emissions reduction targets, including Scope 3 emissions. Long-term, this transition can lead to carbon-negative agriculture and increased profit margins for both farmers and Food and Beverage companies.

Regenerative Futures works with its customers to create customized projects that meet the client’s sustainability goals. Customers can select the outcomes they would like to pay for and build customized projects with Regenerative Futures to target farmers in their supply chains.

We are currently working with major agricultural groups and farmers in Latin America, with plans to expand to additional countries in Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Levoca’s Role

Levoca is in the process of developing and launching the first projects for the Regenerative Futures portfolio. These projects will help farmers and supply chain partners and companies engage other environmental off takers, investors, technical experts, measurement partners and farmers to transition their supply chain to regenerative agriculture.
